Movieworks International Ltd has been in the film and television industry in New Zealand and Australia for over 20 years. As well as programmes, we have produced all types of commercials including live action, special effects, animation and motion control on location or in a studio situation.

Movieworks and Film Investment Corporation, formed Motion Control Ltd and brought the first real time motion control rig from the USA to New Zealand. As well as TV commercials the Gazelle has been used on major features including Lord of the Rings trilogy and King Kong.

John Holdsworth has worked in England, Asia, Canada, Australia and New Zealand in film and television for over 30 years as producer and director beginning way back when 'live to air' dramas were being made, and cameras in race cars were first introduced and tested in Dick Johnsons Ford at Bathurst!

Joy Holdsworth has worked with John as producer or production manager on many television commercials over the last 20 years.

She began in the film business with props and art department for stills and tvc's in Australia
